Barry Vohland – has been involved in coaching hockey players from 1983 until 1999 and has dedicated many outside his Toowoomba Coaching Director’s responsibility to helping players at all levels – from grass root players to future Olympians.

Barry has developed and ran clinics and holiday camps to develop Junior Hockey players. He has promoted and coached students at local schools, developing Club based allocation of Schools to help Clubs obtain new players. Along with coaching individuals and academies, Barry has coached both male and female Toowoomba teams to higher honours at State Championships. He has also coached a variety of Qld Teams, including the U/21 Women’s team . Barry developed coaching programs that were later adapted by other Association coaches around Qld.

Barry is approachable to players while at the same time pushing them to improve and train outside their comfort zones. All of the Olympic players hat have been inducted have at some stage throughout their careers have been coached by Barry, not a bad resume!!
